I was born and raised in the Westerly area and have lived in Pawcatuck since 1993.
I graduated from Westerly High School in 1975 third in my class; Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1979 during which time I made the Dean's List and Seton Hall University Law School in 1982 where I was honored to be an Associate Editor on their Law Review.
From 1982 to 1984 I began my career as a lawyer with Longolucco and Lenihan in Westerly. From 1985 to 1995 I was with O'Brien, Shafner, Bartinik, Stuart and Kelley in Groton. From 1995 through the present I have had my own law firm which is located on Liberty Street in Pawcatuck. My practice consists of injury cases, criminal cases and residential real estate.
I have been involved in Stonington Town Government since 1994. From 1999 to 2000,I served on the Stonington Police Station Building Committee. From 2004 to 2005,I served on the Stonington Charter Revision Commission. From 2003 until 2014 I was chairman of the Democratic Town Committee. Most recently, I have served on the Pawcatuck River Harbor Management Commission and Stonington Police Commission.
